Bonnie Cockman leads Grameen Foundation’s global financial operations. She has more than 20 years of experience leading the finance and operations of entrepreneurial non-profit organizations whose missions align with her passions. Most recently, as managing director, Bonnie helped launch Mothers Out Front, an organization building a diverse, national movement of mothers to call on our leaders to take bold action on climate change. From 2007 to 2014, Bonnie served as senior vice president of finance and operations at Root Capital, an agricultural impact investor that grows rural prosperity in poor, environmentally vulnerable places in Africa and Latin America by lending capital, delivering financial training, and strengthening market connections for small and growing agricultural businesses. Prior to Root Capital, she served as vice president of finance for Conservation International and director of finance for Georgetown University’s Center for Intercultural Education and Development. In addition, she serves on the boards of Mothers Out Front, JRS Biodiversity Foundation and Foundations of Success. Bonnie is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds a B.A. in business from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
