Event Ideas
Your event can be a number of variations on a private house party. Below are just a few ideas:
Movie Night- Get together with friends and view a film produced in a developing country. Afterwards, discuss Grameen Foundation and how microfinance creates lasting change.
Save Your Change for Poverty - Host a party where you and your guests agree to save your change for a month. With the average loan size in the Philippines at just $92, your change can have a huge impact on someone’s life.
Fundraise for a Race - Are you participating in a 5k run or bike race? Couple your efforts with raising money and awareness to benefit millions of the world’s poorest.
Book Club - With your friends, read Banker to the Poor, the story of Grameen Bank written by its founder and 2006 Nobel Peace Prize winner, Muhammad Yunus.

In addition, we introduced and now sustain technology initiatives (Mifos and Village Phone) in Cameroon, Kenya, Rwanda, and Uganda, bringing our total country outreach to 28.
