Village Phone Intern (Francophone)

Reporting and Relationships:
The Program Assistant will report to a Technical Program Manager and will also be responsible to the Village Technology Director. However all activities will be coordinated through the Technical Program Manager.

Availability:
It is expected that the Program Assistant will work a minimum of 35 hours per week based in GF Seattle, GTC office, plus additional hours as necessary to complete his/her projects. Some travel might be required as necessary.

Essential Job Functions:
• Assisting with creation of Village Phone toolkit and continue to update with lessons learnt
• Research on microfinance institutions and regulatory issues in West Africa
• Assist in compiling field reports into professional documents
• Assist in writing monthly reports and status updates
• Administrative tasks on an as required basis for the Village Technology Team
• Marketing / Outreach in support of the GFUSA Village Technology, in coordination with the others GFUSA Grameen Technology Center’s efforts.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Fluency in French both written and oral is required.
• Demonstrated commitment to Grameen Foundation USA values.
• A proven team player with strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and human relations skills in a cross-cultural environment.
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, and work gracefully under pressure.
• Flexibility and ability to quickly overcome the learning curve.
• Ability to work on a number of projects simultaneously.
• Microsoft Access, Microsoft Project

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Experience working in an office environment
• International work or study experience in developing country.
