If you or someone you know is a US government federal employee, your support of Grameen Foundation through the Combined Federal Campaign will support a grassroots solution to poverty that puts tiny loans directly into the hands of poor people so they can launch their own businesses. About Grameen Foundation
Grameen Foundation is an organization that supports microfinance, commonly known as banking for the poor, and focuses on enabling impoverished women. It provides small loans, savings, and other financial services to the poor; this allows individuals to lift themselves out of poverty by creating or expanding small businesses in their own communities. Grameen Foundation works in four different continents to reach the world’s poor.
About the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC):
The Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) is the USA federal government’s annual workplace giving campaign. Last year, federal workers raised nearly $269 million for charity by choosing to have a portion of their payroll automatically deducted to support a charity of their choice. If you or someone you know works for the federal government, you’ll have the chance to support Grameen Foundation in a direct, meaningful way!
How to participate:
It’s easy! Every region has its own CFC coordinating office. They establish “an enrollment period” whereby employees declare the charity they’d like to support. Your agency will provide a form for you to fill out or a web address where you can donate online. When your agency’s enrollment period begins, simply designate Grameen Foundation by putting in our 5-digit code: 15029.
