Leave a Legacy
Your decision to remember Grameen Foundation in your will, estate plan or other long-range financial arrangement is a beautiful — and powerful — gesture of love. It gives you the satisfaction of knowing that your gift will continue to support our efforts to help hard-working poor people — most of them women with families — become self-sufficient through Grameen’s proven microfinance principles.
Bequests to Grameen Foundation
Your bequest can provide important support to Grameen Foundation while meeting your financial and estate planning goals. Before acting, you should discuss your plans with your family attorney or tax planner.
What should I say in my bequest?
If you would like to include a charitable bequest in your will to support the future work of Grameen Foundation, the following language is suggested:
“I give and bequeath the sum of $______ (or ___% of my estate) to Grameen Foundation USA, to be used in support of its general charitable purposes.”
What are the tax benefits?
Please consult your tax advisor as to any potential tax benefits. A bequest to Grameen Foundation may be eligible for an estate tax charitable deduction in the full amount of the bequest.
