The Andrea Soriano Fund engages donors interested in targeting their giving to our work in the Dominican Republic.
History
Alfonso Soriano, the U.S. major league baseball player, is acutely aware of poverty in his home country, the Dominican Republic. He was moved to support microfinance and Grameen Foundation after Steven Rockefeller, Grameen Foundation board member, made an impassioned plea. Soriano created the Andrea Soriano Fund in 2004, named after his mother, to help Grameen Foundation reach thousands more poor families.

The Dominican Republic is desperately poor with nearly a third of the country's people living below the national poverty line. Your gift to the Soriano Fund brings microfinance to more people in need in the Dominican Republic. Help create opportunity for more Dominican families to escape poverty through microfinance.
