The Expansions Manager will be responsible for expanding Ruma's network from 9,000 to 25,000 agents and from 6 branches to 20 branches within 2 years. Ruma's agents are micro-entrepreneurs in semi-rural and rural villages that sell prepaid minutes and information services to their community. The Expansions Manager will also build and manage the construction of the training center to train the 200+ staff that will be required to support Ruma's growth. The Expansions Manager will report directly to the CEO.
The ideal candidate for the position would be someone with at least 15 years of experience in micro-finance, retail product distribution/sales for consumer products or financial services in developing countries. A candidate with experience opening up and expanding operations for a microfinance organization such as BRAC or Grameen is preferred. Experience working in rural areas and with lower income populations is required. The candidate should have experience managing quotas, targets, fraud prevention, and customer service. The term of the engagement is 2 years and within this time is expected to transition and train a local staff.
Requirements
· 15 years of experience in Managing a Sales and Distribution
network for a microfinance/consumer product/finance company
· Prior experience managing a sales team of over 100+ staff
· Fluent in both English and willingness to learn Bahasa
· Undergraduate degree from top institution
· Experience working with cellular products a plus
