Position Title: Program Associate, Human Capital Center
Status: Full Time, Regular

Job Summary: The Human Capital Center (HCC) researches, develops and deploys products and services to help microfinance institutions in developing countries strengthen their human capital management (HCM) practices and align them with business strategy. The Program Associate is responsible for providing a diverse range of programmatic, administrative and budget tracking duties to support the Human Capital Center (HCC). This individual will maintain project plans, draft proposals, and maintain project budgets and the overall HCC budget, and provide administrative support to the Director of the Human Capital Center. The Program Associate may also be asked to conduct research and writing activities to further the work of the HCC.

Reporting and relationships: Reports to the Director, Human Capital Center. This person will be expected to broadly interact with staff across the organization to represent the HCC.

Availability:
The Program Associate will be expected to work a typical work week of 40 hours, plus additional hours as necessary to complete assigned work. This is a non-exempt position that is eligible for overtime.

Essential Job Functions:
· Draft development proposals, project plans and reports, and consultant/volunteer scopes of work and agreements
· Coordinate annual planning and budgeting processes; maintain HCC and assigned project budgets
· Maintain overall HCC and assigned project plans
· Draft HCC internal and external marketing materials, including information sheets and PowerPoint presentations
· Draft and track legal agreements requests
· Track project deliverables, initiate payment requests and track all payments
· Research existing HCM products and services within and outside the MF industry for assigned projects
· Track active HCC volunteer assignments
· Maintain HCC information posted on Grameen Net
· Represent the HCC, as requested, to internal and external audiences
· Arrange meetings, schedule appointments and make travel arrangements as requested
· Prepare Director’s expense reports; track all other departmental expenses
· Organize meetings or conferences by arranging facilities, catering, event material, and invitations
· As appropriate, devise and adapt improved work methods and procedures to accomplish work assignments
· Perform other duties as assigned


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· Previous experience in a fast paced, high profile environment with the proven ability to perform proficiently all office assignments
· Proficiency in a commonly spoken second language preferred
· Ability to perform standard arithmetic functions
· Maintain personal and professional development to meet the current and potential changing needs of the job
· Undertake such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this job

Education and/or Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in human resources, psychology, communications, business, public administration, international development or related field preferred, advance degree may be substituted for required years of experience
· 1 -3 years’ administrative or programmatic experience; any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
· International experience desired
· Demonstrated advanced knowledge of MS Office suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
· Knowledge of project planning software desired

Physical and Environmental Conditions: This position does not require unusual demands for physical effort. This position may occasionally require physical effort to lift and transport boxes weighing no more than 50 pounds.

Work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions typical of places such as offices, meeting or training rooms, residences, or commercial vehicles; e.g., use of safe work place practices with office equipment, and/or avoidance of trips and falls, and observance of fire regulations and traffic signals.
