Grameen Foundation has worked in Latin America and the Caribbean since 1999, focusing on the poorest people, living in remote rural areas. Our work has encompassed projects in several countries, including Haiti, Peru and Mexico, and today focuses on several complementary projects in Colombia. There, our approach of combining partnerships, networks of field agents and digital technology is improving access to information, expanding agricultural capacity, and tackling the challenges of providing digital financial services in remote areas.

We focus on building the resilience of Colombia’s smallholder farmers, and helping them to join both the formal financial system and agricultural markets.
