Joe Mwangi-Kioi
Director of Monitoring and Evaluation

Joe Mwangi-Kioi brings to Grameen Foundation over twenty years of experience in commercial banking and microfinance. Before joining GF, he worked extensively in Africa, as head of finance for fifteen years in a commercial bank and subsequently in senior positions for over six years in microfinance programs in five East and South African countries developing, implementing, managing and supervising accounting, financial reporting, auditing, and MIS systems. He followed that with financial consultancy assignments on institutional strengthening for two microfinance programmes, one in East Africa and the other in West Africa. He has extensive experience in financial analysis, and management of microfinance programmes, as well as reporting and international best practices standards. Joe graduated from the London School of Economics in 1975, and was subsequently admitted as an associate member of the Chartered Association of Accountants and is also a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya.

Radha Singla
Analyst

Radha Singla joined Grameen Foundation in September 2005 in the Monitoring and Evaluation Department. She brings over six years of experience in rural development geared towards developing private enterprises and financial infrastructure in developing countries. Previously, she was at the World Bank where she worked on several projects including Microfinance Investment Support Facility in Afghanistan; Financial Performance and Soundness Indicators in South Asia Region; Sri Lanka Rural and Urban Investment Climate Assessment etc. She has also served with the Government of India for two years as a consultant on economic empowerment projects for indigenous communities. Ms. Singla is accredited with several publications to her name during her term both at the World Bank and Government of India. She graduated with a MA in International Finance and Emerging Markets from Johns Hopkins University (SAIS). She also holds degrees from Cambridge University (UK) and a BA in Economics from Delhi University.

Steve Wardle
Senior Analyst

Steve Wardle joined Grameen Foundation in September 2005, bringing four years of commercial and investment banking experience. Previously, he worked at William Blair & Company, an investment bank headquartered in Chicago, where he executed a broad spectrum of capital raising transactions and advisory services for middle market corporate clients. Steve focused on leveraged finance transactions related to corporate acquisitions, restructurings, recapitalizations and spin-outs. Previously, he was a member of the Commercial Lender Training Program at LaSalle Bank, a commercial bank also headquartered in Chicago, where he helped execute bank loan transactions for middle-market corporate clients before joining LaSalle’s Debt Capital Markets Group to focus on raising capital from investors for bank clients through a range of debt and equity securities in both the private and public markets. Steve graduated with honors from Taylor University (Upland, Indiana) with a BS in Management/Systems and a Minor in Philosophy.
