Grameen Foundation

Dear ##contact_first_name|Friend##,
March is a big month for us at Grameen Foundation. It's Women's History Month, and every March 8 is International Women's day. In our mission, we focus on empowering women, not only because they are more heavily affected by poverty, but also because we believe that investing in them is the best way to end poverty.

Read on to learn more about the unsung women we serve and also to meet a Bankers without Borders® volunteer who deferred his dream so that he could volunteer at a women's microfinance bank in Banda Aceh.

Last, but not least, we'd like to thank everyone who took the $2.50-a-day Challenge for International Women's Day and helped us exceed our goal!

She’s a Hero Where it Matters Most

Poor women are champions in their homes and in the field every day. This International Women’s Day, we salute their determination to build new lives for their families.

A Year-Long Lesson in Indonesia

Calvin was well on his way to a career in the finance world when he took a detour with Grameen Foundation’s Bankers without Borders® initiative that gave him an invaluable lesson about fighting poverty.
